What Is ProPink Insulation?
Owens Corning PROPINK® L77 is a pink, unbonded fibreglass loose-fill made in Canada. It has no formaldehyde binder, is non-combustible, and is designed to be blown into attics and enclosed wall or ceiling cavities, filling around joists and wiring in one even layer.

What is ProPink insulation?
ProPink is Owens Corning’s pink fibreglass loose-fill insulation. It is blown into attics and enclosed cavities with a machine, filling around joists and wiring in an even layer. It has no formaldehyde binder, is non-combustible and doesn’t absorb water, which makes it a popular choice for attic top-ups in BC.
Is ProPink the same as pink batts?
No. ProPink is loose-fill that is blown in, mostly into attics. Owens Corning’s pink batts are a different product, sold as PINK Next Gen, and are fitted by hand into open walls and floors. Both are fibreglass, but loose-fill gives more even coverage in attics.
How deep should ProPink be for R-50?
The depth for R-50 depends on the product’s coverage chart, so we follow the chart printed on the bag. It is typically in the range of 16 to 20 inches for blown fibreglass. We set depth rulers in the attic and list the bags used on your invoice so you can confirm the R-value.
Is ProPink better than cellulose?
For most attics, yes. ProPink settles less, doesn’t absorb water and is lighter on the ceiling, while cellulose is denser and treated with fire retardant. Cellulose can be good for sound in walls. We recommend ProPink for nearly all Lower Mainland attic top-ups.
Does ProPink qualify for BC rebates?
Yes. Installed by an HPCN contractor, ProPink in the attic earns $0.02 × R-value added × sq ft from the BC Hydro and FortisBC Home Renovation Rebate, up to $900, and in exterior wall cavities $0.09 × R × sq ft, up to $1,200. Rebates can combine with bonuses of up to $2,000.
